AJA Intercom Terms of Use

Last updated: 28 September 2026

1. Operator and scope

The product operator is AJA Studio Adrian Jerzy Amrugiewicz, ul. Myśliwska 73/3, 80-283 Gdańsk, Poland, e-mail: biuro@ajastudio.pl.

AJA Intercom is a professional audio, video and text communication tool for closed teams. Account and channel access is granted by the organization or deployment administrator.

2. Access requirements

Use of the app requires a compatible device, access to an appropriate AJA Intercom server and an active account or authorized sign-in method. Users are responsible for protecting their credentials and must not disclose them to unauthorized persons.

Commercial terms, pricing, licensing and service scope for organizations may be governed by a separate offer or agreement. The mobile client does not require an in-app purchase merely to function.

3. Acceptable use

AJA Intercom must be used in accordance with law, organizational rules and its intended purpose. You must not:

4. Recording, replay and STT

A deployment administrator may enable replay buffering, Recording Archive or STT transcription. Users should receive an in-app notice of active processing before transmission. The session organizer is responsible for lawful use of recording/transcription and for appropriately informing participants and people within microphone or camera range.

5. Remote administrator functions

AJA Intercom may allow administrators to perform operational actions such as routing changes, Latch OFF, BUZZ and — only after a local user opt-in — remote microphone or camera activation. Remote MIC and remote CAM opt-ins are independent, OFF by default and can be withdrawn by the user.

6. Abuse reports

Users can report a user or content through the app's reporting feature or by contacting biuro@ajastudio.pl. Reports should include a user, channel, message or event reference and a short description. Do not include passwords, tokens or other secrets.

Reports concerning an organization-managed EDGE deployment are generally handled by that organization's administrator. Reports concerning AJA Cloud may also be handled by AJA Studio.

7. Enforcement

Depending on the circumstances, an administrator may restrict TALK, VIDEO TX or PTXT, disconnect a session, suspend an account or remove it. AJA Studio may take similar action for AJA Cloud where necessary for security, legal compliance or user protection.

8. Availability and liability

AJA Intercom is a real-time communications system that depends on the device, network, server, power and organization configuration. AJA Studio works to maintain reliable operation but cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability under all hardware or network conditions.

Users and organizations should maintain contingency procedures appropriate to the nature of their production. AJA Intercom should not be the sole safety communication system where law or operational risk requires an independent safety system.

9. Data and privacy

Data processing is described in the Privacy Policy. An organization-managed EDGE deployment may apply additional retention or responsibility rules.

10. Termination and deletion

Access may be terminated by the organization administrator or by AJA Studio for AJA Cloud. Users may request deletion of their account and data in accordance with the Privacy Policy. Some data may remain until the applicable retention, backup or legal obligation period expires. Account deletion does not automatically delete previous recordings, journals, transcripts, reports, exports or backups; the administrator handles requests concerning these data separately.

11. Third-party software

The app uses open-source and third-party components. Their license notices are available in the app or product documentation. These Terms do not limit rights granted by those licenses, including rights associated with LGPL components.

12. Applicable law and contact

To the extent permitted by mandatory law, these Terms are governed by Polish law. Nothing in these Terms excludes mandatory consumer or other statutory rights.
