AJA Intercom — Third-Party Software & Open Source Notices

AJA Intercom is proprietary software developed by AJA Studio. Its application source code is not being distributed under an open-source license. The product incorporates third-party software that is distributed under separate licenses. This page provides the applicable copyright notices, license texts and, where those licenses require it, source and relinking materials. Publishing these notices does not make AJA Intercom open source.

Release covered: AJA Intercom 1.0.0 for Android (versionCode 1, package pl.ajastudio.intercom). The same notices are available inside the app (Settings → Open source licenses, and before sign-in).

1. Notices and license texts

Most components below (AndroidX, Jetpack Compose, Kotlin/kotlinx, OkHttp/Okio, ZXing, the mediasoup Android wrapper, WebRTC and the rest of the 95 Release components) are under permissive licenses (Apache-2.0, BSD, ISC, MIT and similar, plus Mulan PSL v2 for Hutool) that require attribution and the license text only. They do not require AJA Studio to publish the source code of AJA Intercom.

3. libusb (LGPL-2.1-or-later) — source and relinking materials

The Android app uses libusb1.0.so (libusb 1.0.25.11692, as modified by the UVCAndroid vendor) for optional USB/UVC cameras. It is a separate shared library loaded dynamically by the app and can be replaced by a user-built version. AJA Studio applied no source patches of its own: the release uses the complete UVCAndroid 1.0.13 vendor sources (commit 6018c7f20238832929cf61427427bb7828056260) built with Android NDK 28.1.13356709 (API 21, release) for armeabi-v7a, arm64-v8a and x86_64; only the three libusb1.0.so files of the UVCAndroid 1.0.13 AAR were replaced by this controlled build.

You may modify the library, rebuild it and repackage and sign an APK with your own key for your own device. Reverse engineering for debugging such modifications is permitted. Neither AJA's upload key nor the Google Play app-signing key is required or provided. An APK signed with your key cannot update a Play-signed installation; use a separate test device and read RELINK.md first.

Written offer

For at least three years after the last distribution of this version, AJA Studio offers any third party the complete machine-readable corresponding source of the shipped LGPL library (including vendor changes), its build scripts, license texts and the application object materials needed to modify and relink it. Electronic delivery is free; physical delivery costs no more than the cost of distribution. Request: biuro@ajastudio.pl, identifying AJA Intercom 1.0.0 / versionCode 1. No purchase, NDA, account or reason is required.
